Lead Security Officer

JOB SUMMARY:

Inspects, monitors, controls and patrols work site location and Goodwill security officers and operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintains a shift and oversees security officers at Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics location and assign duties as needed.
  • Be familiar with all on-site emergency procedures. Manage and maintain supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain and ensure security logs are complete.
  • Provide trainings for OSSM post.
  • Work in conjunction to plan, assign and evaluate the work performance of security personnel with Security Supervisors &/or Director.
  • Conducts random inspections to ensure appearance standards and conduct are meeting requirements.
  • Check with all client Building Manager no less than once every week.
  • Report weekly to the Security Supervisors with site performance updates.
  • Foot patrol and routine checks of doors of building is required.
  • Interpret customer needs and provide solutions while conforming to industry and Oklahoma CLEET standards.
  • Produce written documents with clearly organized thoughts using proper sentence construction, punctuation and grammar.
  • Work continually with the Security Manager to ensure compliance with stated mission, goals, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Communicate with Security, customer, clients, and the public in a professional manner.
  • Punctual & dependable attendance.
  • Assist Supervisor with payroll timesheets and paperwork.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Follow, enforces and provides training to ensure that all safety rules and regulations are followed. Completes and submits any necessary forms and/or reports immediately, but no longer than within 2 hours, when an incident occurs. Maintains current certifications in First Aid and CPR and administers First Aid and CPR if required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to constantly stand, walk, bend, and stoop for long periods of time (up to 12 hours a day).
  • Ability to talk, hear, and see.
  • Good physical, mental, and emotional health.
  • Lift/Carry up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to stay awake.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • All weather conditions: rain, snow, sleet, hot and cold temperature.
  • Will be required to work flexible hours, various security posts may be required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • CLEET Certification Phase I and II.
  • 1 years experience CLEET, law enforcement, or military service.
  • CPR, First Aid certifications
  • Able to speak, read, write and understand the English language.
