Adjunct Trainer- General (Re-entry Services)

JOB SUMMARY: Adjunct trainers serve as part-time training staff who operate under the Workforce Development umbrella and offer training for Goodwill clients under the Goodwill Career Pathways Institute (GCPI) and employment certificate programs. This position provides training support through the GCPI, including Goodwill off site locations, Goodwill Central Oklahoma Corporate office and to the clients who are served through re-entry services provided at prisons within the service area.
Starting Pay: $30 per hour
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for facilitation of GCPI certificate and employment programs offered under the Oklahoma Board of Private Vocational Schools (OBPVS) for the counties assigned as designated and available.
- Trainer for Re-entry Employment Preparation Program (REPP) training for prison-based programming for Goodwill throughout the counties in which Goodwill serves. This includes but is not limited to the Employment Essentials, Skills Academy, Network Cabling, Whole Person courses.
- Provides training in the areas of MS Office, Google Apps, and Basic Computer skills.
- Provides Mobile training with partner organizations as deemed necessary.
- Deliver Goodwill created curriculum and training materials.
- Maintains training records including attendance records and OBPVS paperwork.
- Documents completions and client learning outcomes from training via case notes.
- Evaluates client/student performance and addresses concerns as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree or higher preferred or 5 years or more in associated field of study.
- 3 years of experience in public speaking or teaching/training role.
- 2+ years’ experience in working with MS Office 2016 or higher.
- Must pass background check as well as drug screening.
- Must have a current driver’s license, valid insurance, and clean driving record.
- Experience in job development for individuals with multiple barriers to employment preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with other team members.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite 2016(+) including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Suite, and Outlook as well as able to navigate the internet with ease.

- Ability and stamina to present training to small and large groups of people.
- This work is not sedentary and requires the following activities: Walking for long periods of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motion; talking, hearing, smelling, and visual acuity to include close, distance, and color vision.
- The ability to lift 35 pounds or more with assistance.
- Employee is required to operate a computer.
- This is considered a safety sensitive position. No level of impairment from drugs, alcohol or prescription medications will be acceptable while performing the essential functions of this job.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Works in a climate controlled, office or retail environment most of the time except for when travelling to host sites.
- Low noise level.
- Travel to company and community locations as required.
- Works variable hours as needed; however, the position will require mostly 8:00-5:00 Monday- Friday to align with the Employment Services Center.
- Must be willing and able to work with inmates in a prison facility and receive security clearance to do so.
